This picturesque name hides a hydroelectric power plant located in the town of Ozalj.
The hydroelectric power plant was put into operation in 1908 and thus became the first in continental Croatia. The electricity produced in it was free and was used to supply public lighting in the city of Karlovac.
It owes its appearance of neo-Renaissance castle to the famous architect Hermann Bolle and as such is a valuable decoration of the surrounding landscape.
