Kupa is one of the Croatia’s most sigificant rivers. This border river between Croatia and Slovenia hides many natural beauties. One of them is it’s spring.
Lake
The source of river Kupa is located in National park Risnjak in Gorski kotar at the height of 321 meters. This beautiful lake is 200 meters long and 50 meters wide. It is hidden in the forest which only highlights it’s beautiful turquoise color.
True spring at the bottom of the lake was never discovered since the lake is 80 meters deep and very cold (4 °C) so no expedition ever took place.
